Find us at the corner of Glen Iris & North Ave, right behind Dancing Goats Coffee.

Two Showrooms
We will have two stages: Main Squeeze (130 seats) for the bigger shows and Sidepiece (40 seats) for the late-night, off-the-wall, try-something-new kind of shows. With two showrooms, we estimate 20-25 shows a week.

Main Squeeze
Our main showroom is called Main Squeeze and seats about 130 people. This AI image gives you an idea of what it will look like with 2 tops up front, VIP booths, high-tops and then bleachers.
Sidepiece
Our smaller showroom is called Sidepiece and will seat about 40 people. The prior tenants left a stacked stone fireplace and wall, so we are keeping it to make this showroom feel more homey. This image was done with AI but it gives you an idea of what we are bringing you.
Side Piece will have comedy, up-close magic, late-night jazz, and more.
The Whiplash Patio
Show up early. Stay late. Or just come hang.
Our 2,500 sq ft patio is surrounded by greenery, loaded with comfy chairs, and basically begging you to hang out.
Private Events
Book Whiplash for corporate events, private parties, and special occasions, custom comedy shows and more.
We offer two event spaces and a large patio. You can rent any or all of these for your fun event.

Our 'Coming Soon' vinyl was installed 3.5.26. We should be open in Summer 2026.

What kind of acts can I expect at Whiplash Comedy?
Main Squeeze (~130 seats) will have monthly headliners along with weekly showcases featuring 8 of the best comedians in town. Side Piece (~44 seats) will have showcases, podcasts, up-close magic, socials, and other various experiences. Plus our staff will be top notch making your Whiplash experience memorable.
Do you serve food?
Yes, we offer a tasty menu like flatbreads, quesadillas, pretzel bites, and more. FYI... we will not serve food during the show.
Can I book a comedian for a private event?
Absolutely! Contact us with your event details, and we will tailor a comedy show that suits your needs.
Are there age restrictions for attending shows at Whiplash Comedy?
Yes, attendees must be 18 years or older. Check specific event details for variations.
How can I buy tickets to a show?
Tickets can be purchased directly through our website or at our cashier if we are not sold out. The good news is that with two showrooms you have plenty of options to see the awesomeness.

What about parking?
We have several options for parking. Right beside Dancing Goats is a lot for about 20 cars and we will have an entrance from that parking lot. Across North Avenue is Southern Dairies that is usually empty at night with about another 100 spots. And of course, there is lots of parking at Ponce City Market.
